Imagine a love story that defies borders, where two souls from different countries dared to dream of a life together. This is what happened to me and my ex partner.

We faced countless hurdles as we fought to bring him to Australia, only to be crushed by the news of his denied visa application. Being from a developing country made our journey even tougher, but we refused to give up. So, we set our sights on the United States, hoping to build a life there.

But let me tell you, it was far from smooth sailing. Visa restrictions meant we could only spend three precious months together at a time. Those moments were beautiful yet bittersweet, serving as constant reminders of the time we were forced to spend apart. The longing we felt grew with each separation.

As we fantasized about our future, we took a leap of faith and moved to the United Kingdom. Little did we know that fate had other plans in store. On that day at the airport, immigration authorities denied his entry, and there I stood, alone with our bags in the terminal, while he was sent back on a plane to the United States, feeling the weight of our shattered dreams.

The emotions that engulfed me during those tough times were overwhelming—heartbreak, loneliness, and an indescribable sense of loss. The situation became unbearable, and it eventually took its toll on our relationship. We had to make the agonizing decision to part ways, knowing it was the best choice for both of us.

That's when "Energy" came to life—a song that encapsulated all the feelings I experienced during those turbulent moments. Longing, pain, and an enduring love that remained steadfast despite our circumstances. It became an outlet for me to pour my heart out, encapsulating the essence of our love that persisted despite the distance and the strength we found to keep going.

Teaming up with the incredible Govinda Doyle, we crafted a production that captures the rollercoaster ride of emotions. "Energy" invites you into our world, allowing you to feel the intensity of our love and the bittersweet longing that defined our journey.
